Service: My Mission

I would like to offer you an opportunity. It is free, and all about helping you and your work grow. I want to see, all the people who put in effort and time into blogging, writing, creating, blow up and become the person they want to become. Read below to find out more.

Good morning everyone. I was working out this morning thinking about what I wanted to write about, as I do most every morning. When the thought occurred to me, “It really doesn’t matter so much what I write but that I write.” See this is therapy for me.

I started this because writing was such an incredible outlet of the creative monster in my brain wanting to punch its way out all of the time. Happily, destroying me from the inside out, I left it trapped inside.

Now almost six months later, so many different avenues for the creative process have opened for me, what a blessing. The Avenue that just recently opened was YouTube, and I am so excited that I get to act goofy on the internet for people to watch. Haha.

This is going somewhere Promise.

My main thought this morning centered around service to others. I genuinely believe that I was placed on this earth at this time in history to help lift others. To be able to highlight other peoples wonderful and magnificent qualities. We all have them; the light is in all of us. A lot of times it is difficult to allow our selves to let it shine. To open our selves up to possibilities that we could not imagine.

I feel that this is my calling, to help others shine.

Marianne Willamson wrote in her book, A Return to Love. “It is not our darkness that most frightens us; it is our Light.”

We were all meant to light up the world in some way; I know this to be true because just the idea of it lights me up.

So yesterday, I asked the question to all my friends in the #writingcommunity if they would be interested in letting me interview them to highlight who they are and what they are about. Giving authors, creator, editors, all sorts the opportunity to show the world the person behind the work.

The response has been overwhelming, and I am genuinely blown away. I could barely sleep last night thinking of meeting all the wonderful people and finding out what they are all about. Discovering their Why for doing the things they do.

I talk a lot about finding your Why, well I decided to stop talking about it and start showing it.

I want to offer this to all the bloggers out there, the creators of incredible content.

If you are interested in letting me interview you via Skype and sharing it with the thousands of people on my twitter and new Youtube channel let me know in the comments. I would love to talk to you and let the world know who you are.

Thanks for reading have an awesome day.

I am a writer, a storyteller, a yarn-spinning freakazoid. My life is full of two things today, lessons and blessings. I write fiction mostly but I also love to write about my life and the things I go through on a daily basis. Writing it out inspires and motivates me and that's why I do it. Plus if it does that for me maybe it will for someone else too.

  1. what you’re doing is great Matthew, you are spreading light and motivation and this is amazing! Probably one day if I become a famous writer, will contact you for an interview 🙂 Looking forward to meeting great and talented people as you! Keep it up!

      1. What? Now you can’t hear my inner dialogue? Lol

I was on the fence about signing up for one of these interviews. I don’t really have anything to promote until my second book is done, or my short story collection. But I think it would be good practice for both of us. So I’m convinced that I should do it.

This is me not being a scaredy-cat 😬

      2. It will probably have to be a Friday or Saturday, so I can organize childcare and get into the city. I can probably make Feb 8-9 or 22-23 work? Can you email me? scjensen[at]outlook.com

    1. Thank you for the compliment. And I agree that is definitely apart of it. There is also a lot more to that quote that I left out. It is one of my favorite quotes. Thank you for reading and your contributions to this blog.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

  2. Wow. This is such a great opportunity Matthew. Maybe one day once I’ve built enough to my name that is worthy for an interview. This is an interesting project. Looking forward to hearing/seeing more about it.

      2. Well I understand that fear. I have other writers coming on to talk about their blogs and other stuff they do. No pressure, just know that when you are ready i am excited to talk to you
