Why I Hate The World

Where do I start? There is so much to hate, from the greed, the envy, the selfishness, and gluttony. Those with no regard for anyone but themselves, so cold an unforgiving to the least of these and envious of those with the most.

I hate the consumerism and egotism. I hate that we don’t love each other more.

I hate how we look at each other with our guards up waiting for the worst.

I hate that we seek security through an invisible currency made up by invisible people that sell us invisible things.

I hate that the world is so cold to those that don’t go along with the program.

I hate that we are always divided on one thing or another.

I hate our speech and our intolerance.

I hate our fear filled lives desperately lacking of faith.

Most of all I hate myself for being all that I hate and not having the courage to be the man I would like to be.

I hate my lack of bravery in the face of this enemy.

I hate my own hypocrisy for loving these hateful comforts.

I hate that I hate this world, but I hate it because it’s a reflection of me.

I am a writer, a storyteller, a yarn-spinning freakazoid. My life is full of two things today, lessons and blessings. I write fiction mostly but I also love to write about my life and the things I go through on a daily basis. Writing it out inspires and motivates me and that's why I do it. Plus if it does that for me maybe it will for someone else too.

  1. I’ve had days… hell, months where I’ve felt like this. Even though I’m in a far better place than I was in my younger life, I still have moments where I’d love to pull the Thanos finger snap.

The only clever platitude I can offer that’s valid is “This too shall pass”. Also, remember as I’ve said in my blog multiple times, the media and the so-called leaders have a vested interest in making things look worse than they are. Hit up google. Poverty and hunger are actually down overall worldwide. For every antifa riot, there’s hundreds of cities where everything is going peacefully.

It may be tough to remember at times, but all the bad we see on the internet is a highly vocal minority of people trying to make themselves relevant.

    1. True the world is far better off than the media makes it out to be. I guess my point is that I hate all the things that I myself am guilty of and wish I wasn’t that way. Even when I think I’m not I will find myself lost in more greed, or spite. Only thing that needs to change is me.

Thank you for your comforting words

      1. We’re all works in progress. If we were perfect, we wouldn’t be here anymore, right? 🙂

Let me suggest something a bit unorthodox. It’s done wonders for me. Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian healing prayer designed to help people let go of past issues. Plenty of guided versions on YouTube but I like this one:
