Clearing The Channel: Saying Thank You

Happy Sunday to all.  I was thinking of all the content I have been putting out lately and how much fun I have had Interviewing writers and creators.

Life is a beautiful gift today, and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who is supportive of this blog, my youtube channel, my books, and podcast and everyone in the #writingcommunity on Twitter.

I never imagined all the love and support. All the positive feedback and friendship that would come from putting my thoughts and goofiness on the internet would bring.

It is nothing short of a miracle, and I genuinely believe that my life is a miracle.  After all the horror that I wrought in my life for so many years by way of substance abuse and not being a perfect person, to have this type of turn around is 100% the work of a power greater than my self.

With that, I want to share the prayer that I meditate on every morning, which I believe has cleared the blocks from my life and has allowed God to work through me.

It is called the Saint Francis prayer of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace!

That where there is hatred, I may bring love.

That where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness.

That where there is discord, I may bring harmony.

That where there is error, I may bring truth.

That where there is doubt, I may bring faith.

That where there is despair, I may bring hope.

That where there are shadows, I may bring light.

That where there is sadness, I may bring joy.

Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted.

To understand, than to be understood.

To love, than to be loved.

For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.

It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.

It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life

Have a Wonderful and blessed day.

With all my Love,

Matt Whiteside

I am a writer, a storyteller, a yarn-spinning freakazoid. My life is full of two things today, lessons and blessings. I write fiction mostly but I also love to write about my life and the things I go through on a daily basis. Writing it out inspires and motivates me and that's why I do it. Plus if it does that for me maybe it will for someone else too.

  1. After all the hard work you’ve put into changing your life and career, you deserve all the blessings that are coming your way. Your story is an inspiration.

Life is indeed beautiful. It is filled with a lot of ups and downs but the most important thing is getting through all that.

That is one of my favourite prayers along with St Jude Thaddeus prayer. 😊
